Blending sports film and biopic without hitting the best or worst aspects of both genres, this story of the driven, combative, unconventional father/coach of tennis superstars Venus and Serena Williams works best as a portrait of an unusual family. Everyone in the cast is solid, the melodramatic moments are not too overplayed, and the tennis sequences are shot and edited convincingly. Still, if you're not a tennis fan - it's a lot of tennis.
