This movie demonstrates that not only is the romantic comedy in major decline these days, but also the dysfunctional-family comedy, the fish-out-of-water comedy, the stoner comedy, and most other forms of feature film comedies. The cast is a bunch of familiar and likable actors “acting” like their characters but never embodying them, and the whole film sits lifelessly on the screen, trying not to bore itself or its viewers to sleep before its ninety minutes elapse.
