Twitter Capsule:
The latest and possibly final film from 87-year-old British working-class chronicler Ken Loach (Kes, Riff-Raff, The Wind That Shakes the Barley) is a simple tale about a pub owner in a former mining town caught up in tensions between his bitter, racist customers and newly arrived Syrian refugees. Strong performances all around bring out the best in Paul Laverty's on-the-nose dialogue. While many narrative beats are predictable, their outcomes are often unexpected.
