Sacha Baron Cohen and Larry Charles’ follow up to Borat and Bruno is a much more traditional narrative comedy rather than their usual fake-documentary. There are a lot of laughs in the film but its SOOOO sloppy--too sloppy for me to like. It also lacks any shock value so the humor just comes off as crass and occasionally cruel. These are really all the same jokes as in Borat and Bruno and the same production standard, its funny, but it gets less and less funny each time out. What Cohen does as Borat, Bruno and Ali G is expose stupid people and their stupid attitudes--there is truth in that. As the Dictator he is just acting stupid and it makes one feel kind of stupid for laughing at it.
