Mirror Mirror is an ultra-modern and totally thoughtless take on the classic Grimm Fairly tale so badly directed and edited that it is quite difficult to sit through.  Director Tarsem Singh shoots the movie as if it was a three minute video and the results are downright irritating. The colors are far too vibrant, the sets looks totally fake, the all-star cast feel like overgrown kids playing dress up, the CGI is ugly and overused and the editing is so choppy and disjointed that it is actually hard to tell what’s going in many cases. In the end, the film has nothing new to say about the Snow White story. Rather it co-opts that narrative and uses it as an excuse to make a visually “dazzling” film, though it is in fact a visually crowded and generic commercial for itself.
