It is such a shame the director of Body Heat and The Big Chill, the same man who wrote Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Empire Strikes Back, has been reduced to churning out contrived crap like this, but that’s often the reality of ageing in the movie business. Kasdan hasn’t made a film in 9 years and hasn’t made a good film in 21 years. I’m a MAJOR fan of his, and I never want my heroes to quit while they’re ahead--hell my favorite artists of all time are Bob Dylan and Woody Allen! But watching this film made me wish Kasdan had quit in the 80s. Sorry Larry.  (I'm sure the fact that I hate dogs didn't help.)
